In Brandee’s own words, “This album is the most vulnerable piece of work to ever come from me. Across ten tracks I navigate the ‘twists and turns’ of a year filled with profound change. An exploration of life’s complexities and the resilience found within music.”
 
Grammy-nominated Brandee Younger has excelled as an artist, performer, composer, and educator, with her last album Brand New Life earning a 2024 NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Jazz Album. Gadabout Season features memorable collaborations with Shabaka Hutchins, Courtney Bryan, and Josh Johnson. Younger’s title track “Gadabout Season” is all about seeking light through uncertainty, while finding unexpected joys along the way. As a listener we are taken through the highs and the lows with tracks like “BBL” grabbing your attention with its dynamic rhythm and “Reflection Eternal,” a song whose calming melody attracts thought and “reflection”.
